KOENIG & BAUER CELMACCH INSTALLED A NEW CHROMA CUT HIGH TECH 2400 AT SAMBO CORRUGATED IN SOUTH KOREA

Koenig & Bauer Celmacch continues its successful growth in new regions all over the world. Besides the African continent and North America, Koenig & Bauer Celmacch is entering the Asian market with an installation at Sambo Corrugated Board Co. Ltd. The company recently invested in a ChromaCUT High Tech 2400 line, designed to ensure high production efficiency, top quality printing and a high level of process automation.

Founded in 1973, Sambo Corrugated is now one of the most established players in South Korea’s corrugated board sector. Thanks to a vertically integrated production structure, the group manages the entire production process in house, from paper production to the conversion of corrugated board into boxes and packaging. Over the years, Sambo has consistently invested in automation, technological innovation and quality development, becoming a benchmark in the Korean packaging market. The company operates through various plants and associated companies, with the aim of ensuring rapid delivery and high quality standards for numerous industrial sectors.

Sambo’s decision stems from the desire to further boost production performance and respond ever more effectively to the demands of a constantly evolving market.

The installed configuration comprises a ChromaCUT High Tech 2400 with four bottom printing units, a double vacuum transport section, a rotary die cutter and a vacuum bundle stripping stacker. The line is completed by an integrated Alliance system consisting of a pre feeder, breaker and palletizer, designed to ensure automated and efficient management of the entire production flow.
The system has been developed with particularly advanced technology, designed to optimize quality, operating speed and ease of use.

The line is also designed to accommodate future upgrades, confirming the great design flexibility of the ChromaCUT High Tech platform.

One of the most significant aspects of the project concerns the customization of the vacuum stripping stacker, which is equipped with dual brushes and a dedicated air knife system, developed specifically to improve waste management and optimize the final quality of the stack.

With this installation, Koenig & Bauer Celmacch once again confirms its ability to develop highly customized solutions for leading international corrugated board manufacturers, combining technological innovation, robust construction and high performance.

“The new partnership with Sambo Corrugated represents an important milestone for our company,” says Luca Celotti, General Manager of Koenig & Bauer Celmacch. “This project demonstrates once again how our technologies are capable of meeting the most advanced production requirements, offering high quality standards and excellent operational efficiency.”

Thanks to an approach focused on continuous innovation and the use of high quality European components, Koenig & Bauer Celmacch continues to consolidate its position as a leading technology partner for the corrugated board sector worldwide.

“Our aim is to provide customers with practical tools to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness,” concludes Celotti, “through modern, reliable and increasingly user friendly solutions.”
